Fall is for fashion. It’s always an exciting time of year, as right now we are nearing the end of fashion week in New York City. The chill in air is slowly making us transition our wardrobes, and there’s just something about throwing on that first cozy sweater. And if you are in the fashion world like me, trade shows are starting to begin and it’s always incredible to see what’s happening next.
Today, I am celebrating the 40 Looks of Liz Claiborne at JC Penney. One of my first jobs out of college was working for a brand under the Liz Claiborne brand. I am a huge fan, and remember having a few Liz Claiborne suits, too for interviews and internships. It is amazing that one brand could be so versatile and work for me then and now. Over the years the company has branched out into a full lifestyle brand with over 30 categories, including shoes, jewelry, sleepwear, accessories and Claiborne menswear and Home but for me Liz Claiborne will always be the brand to represent effortless style for the busy working woman.
JCPenney is one of my favorite retailers because I can outfit my entire family head-to-toe on a budget. JCPenney has really become an affordable fashion player, offering on trend stylish pieces from an assortment of great brands. JCPenney acquired Liz Claiborne in 2010 and since then Liz Claiborne has flourished—becoming one of JCPenney’s most popular brands. Liz Claiborne still has an incredibly diverse collection of suiting and separates that you can mix and match to keep each look fresh and sophisticated. Even the casual looks, like I am wearing are polished and sleek. I love that the collection can change my look from my usual boho to a more sophisticated look for various meetings and events.
Liz Claiborne is celebrating their 40th anniversary and to mark the occasion JCPenney is presenting the 40 looks of Liz Claiborne. I already started a wish list even though I’m not hustling off to an office every day there are plenty of pieces I can wear for special occasions or even everyday. Happy to know that JCPenny is offering them too. I will let my daughter know so she can go and pick a nice dress for herself that she can wear to her childhood best friend’s wedding.

I really enjoy most of the looks at JcPenney and do most of the shopping for my professional attire there. Fall is my favorite season. I love the sweaters, the scarves, and all of the great accessories that come with the cooler weather!
