Maternity Style File: Au Lait

Don’t go getting any ideas now, I am not pregnant again. We are pretty content as a family of five. I am however, still nursing Gemma. Although her nursing sessions are down to about 4-5 a day, I am always on the go with Ry and Siella, leaving me having to nurse anywhere we go. As the winter months are approaching us rapidly, I am having a hard time trying to cover myself while feeding. With all of the layers on, it makes it less discrete. The summer months were way easier to nurse in my opinion.

I am excited to share with all my nursing mamas, Au Lait. A line of fashionable tops that cater to the needs of the breastfeeding mother. Au Lait was created because new moms should not feel like they do not have the time nor the option to feel beautiful while nursing. They design their fashions around three core ideals: convenience, compassion, and community.  All of our tops are designed to both flatter the new mother while also engineered to allow an unprecedented level of ease and privacy. They source every fabric from the US or Japan and crafting them with love in the heart of New York City.

Here’s how Au Lait clothing works:

VERTICAL SLITS:  The Tank/The Blouse/The Tee-Dress

The double tiered construction hides fully-finished nursing vents that are overlapped vertical slits.  Even with the top tier lifted, the garment will always provide you with full coverage and privacy.

CUT OUTS: The Pullover Cardigan

The Pullover Cardigan features a faux tank with nursing vents on either side of the torso.  An interchangable front panel is snapped in so it can easily be swapped out and thrown in the wash.  The weight and drape of the cardigan fabric has been engineered so that your privacy is never compromised. This is the simplest nursing access out of all the styles as well as the most generous in terms of fit.

PRINCESS SEAMS:  The Sweatshirt

The princess seams on each side of the sweatshirt adds the Au Lait Nursing System to a very casual style and hides the inner deep-v layer that guards the privacy of the nursing mother.  This is the most comfortable nursing access for being at home.

Au Lait has made most of my nursing outings a cinch. Of course I can’t always wear my three pieces all the time, but I know I could have a fashionable option especially on the days I know I have long days with the kids or events for work.

I have worn all of the pieces out and I couldn’t believe the amount of compliments I received from my mama friends. And the best when I showed them it was a nursing tank, they couldn’t believe it!

  1. The challenge of saggy eyes can extremely only be totally eliminated with the
help of plastic medical procedures but the creams and gels can help to lessen the
in general appearance of the bags. Skin cell re-growth is normally slower as
time goes by or as a person ages. All parabens
are known to irritate the skin, causing allergic and adverse reactions.

  2. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a
comment is added I get three emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
    Thanks!
