A Smart Home

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

The end of the year is an incredibly busy time for me. Aside from my regular exhausting daily routine I have added holiday events, parties, partnerships, meetings. I really have to be smart about my time and my work schedule so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. One thing that can torpedo my entire plan is poor or spotty Wi-Fi at home. I know that sounds a little crazy, but when you work from home and have multiple deadlines and time sensitive social media posts, reliable Wi-Fi connection is essential.

A Weak Wi-Fi Solution

Even in our small apartment, getting reliable internet signal in every room is a challenge. Maybe the walls are too thick or there is too much interference but something is messing with our Wi-Fi! I try to cloister myself in the bedroom when the kids are home so I can get work done in quiet but the Wi-Fi signal seems so much weaker in there because the router is in the living room. All I want is to be able to work efficiently while the kids are watching a movie or enjoying their screen-time. I have tried other solutions but so many Wi-Fi boosters or additional routers from our cable company take up more space than you think and then there are a million wires and unsightly gadgets in every room. It drives me mad. Our space is small enough we should be able to find a solution that doesn’t require sacrificing our much-needed square footage or our decor.

A Weak Wi-Fi Solution

Luckily, Samsung’s new Connect Home is the perfect solution for my weak Wi-Fi and aesthetic issues because it replaces the larger antenna-laden routers with a simple, sleek and compact design that can be placed anywhere and everywhere in the home, even in plain sight. The design is so tiny and chic—it is actually really pretty and it doesn’t ruin the room. I am so excited to eliminate the dead zones and be able to close my door for a few minutes to power-through a deadline—all with the help of a lovely little device.

Connect Home is a mesh Wi-Fi router that optimizes your signal, creating a powerful (and reliable) corner-to-corner signal throughout your home. Each router has a range of 1,500 square feet (which is larger than my apartment) and you can connect up to five Connect Home devices for mesh network coverage of up to 7,500 square feet…WOW. I have set up Connect Home in each room so I can be sure to cover every square inch.

A Weak Wi-Fi Solution

Connect Home gives powerful Wi-Fi to allow you to upload and download instantly…stream videos, movies, shows and even control appliances and devices in your home. YEP! Samsung Connect Home is the only whole-home Wi-Fi network that also operates as a SmartThings Hub—meaning that through the Connect App, you can remotely control your different smart-home appliances and devices like locks, lighting, thermostats, security systems, your refrigerator and even the TV.

A Weak Wi-Fi Solution

Connect Home is seamless and really cuts down on my distraction and allows me to focus on work and family little bit more. Also, set up is surprisingly simple and fast. I can get so demotivated when I see a complicated “get started” booklet but the instructions are so easy to follow and the Connect App even guides you for the placement of each Connect Home hub.

The App is another time saving and chaos eliminating detail I love about the Connect Home. The Connect App totally reduces the amount of digital clutter in your life—no more multiple apps to control things…all you need to do is set up the Samsung Connect App on your iOS or Android device and you can start remotely running your home, like a boss!

Do you experience the same kinds of Wi-Fi problems?

  1. I am so amazed at the tech we have today. We can tell a little speaker to play a song, get us directions to a recipe. Connect Home sounds like a great WIFI booster.

  2. I’m pretty lucky with my WiFi but it does get spotty at times. This sounds too good to be true. It’s amazing how technology moves so fast, it’s hard to keep up. I’ll have to look into this!

  3. We have spots in our home that are a bear to get WIFI signal. We will have to look into this. There’s some days where working in bed is a must!

  4. Now I’m interested in seeing if we have dead spots for WiFi in our home. It would be a blessing to be able to get strong signal strength all through the house.

  5. Connect Home sound like a great family WiFi option. I really like the amount of control we can have over our homes now through devices like phones.

  6. This sounds perfect for us! We live in northern MI, and there is barely any available internet so ours is very weak. This would be so helpful, and the convenient app would be great! I will have to try this out.

  7. I really like the size of it! Ours is huge and bulky and takes up half the table. And, it doesn’t work great all the time. I am definitely going to consider making the switch!

We love having a smart home! It really makes life so much easier and it’s way easier to control when we’re away from home! It’s so awesome!

  9. Our house is not huge but there are some places where the wifi signal is weak. I will have to look into this new Samsung Connect Home. Thank you for the review. I am glad that technology nowadays provides us with things our grandparents would never have imagined having.

  10. SAY WHAT?! Love this! I think it’s pretty cool that you can control everything from your phone. It’s just what my husband and I need since we travel a lot and leave the house!
