A Seat That Grows

This is a sponsored post. Thank you for supporting SITC.

When it comes to investing in gear for the kiddos, all our needs are different depending on lifestyle and living situation. If you live in the suburbs you can probably skip the heavy-duty all-in-one stroller, since you’ll probably be driving everywhere. If you are an avid runner or beach-goer you will get the most use out of a jogging stroller with big tires. Changing tables and big tubs are not a great idea for small-space living but perfect if you have the room for a separate nursery and bathroom. But, one piece of baby and kid gear that everyone absolutely must have no matter where you live or what you do is a carseat.

Safety is my number one priority. I can’t imagine not securing my child in the car, anything can happen no matter how safe and experienced a driver you are. With three kids, I have gone through my share of styles and sizes as most parents of multiple children have. There was also a period of time where I had all three carseats installed in the second row of our SUV. With each passing year the designs get more innovative and convenient. I am constantly amazed by the ingenuity of carseat design.

Chicco is one of those go-to brands for carseats because they have multiple options for both convertible and infant seaters and all are simple and easy to install. Convertible carseats are a dream come true. It is so nice to have one seat that offers both options and is still super comfortable and durable, and most importantly, safe.

Chicco’s NextFit iX Zip LUXE Convertible Carseat is engineered to last from newborn through preschool with a built-in “fit-ability” for every stage. The idea that a carseat can fit a child 5-40 lbs rear-facing and 22-65 lbs front-facing is amazing to me. There are 9 headrest positions to accommodate height and a no-rethread harness! This means no more buying multiple carseats for every age and stage. The LUXE features a zip-and-wash seat pad, which is great because spills and messes always happen and you can actually machine wash the cover!

Fitting multiple carseats in a vehicle always poses a Tetris-like challenge but the Chicco NextFit iX has a 9-position ReclineSure® leveling system and RideRight® bubble level-indicators designed to accommodate a much wider range of vehicles in both rear and forward-facing positions. Plus, the SuperCinch® for LATCH or seat belt installation has LockSure™ belt tightening system makes for an easy installation. This new enhanced EasyPull harness tightener makes it that much easier to correctly tighten the harness for caregiver and the everyday use.

Chicco offers everything from strollers to bottles and I have always been a huge fan of the brand. The new NextFit iX Zip Convertible Carseat in Dolce from the LUXE series is sleek and innovative. The NextFit iX is Chicco’s new enhanced Convertible Car Seat and available soon at all major retailers; however, the LUXE Edition, shown in this automotive inspired fashion, is exclusive at buybuyBABY.

  1. This is awesome! I used to have to buy multiple different sized seats when I was doing regular childcare, because it seems like they are only good for a few months. It’s great to see that there are now seats that can accommodate kids at a variety of age groups.

  2. That looks like a very nice seat. I think it’s nice to have the ones that grow with your kids. That always means less money in the end too.

My friend is expecting her first child this summer. This car seat would be a great baby shower gift for her.

  4. I wish they would have had a seat like this when my youngest needed it. It’s so cool and I love that you don’t have to buy all different seats throughout their life.
